Our 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to Oak Ridge on Tuesday and they represented themselves and McKinley very well. The Oak Ridge Principal thanked the team and told them they were some of the most respectful boys he had ever met, as well as being one of the best dressed teams he had seen. Several people commented to Coach Hesh on how well dressed they were. They might not have won that particular game but they came out ahead in other very important ways! Congratulations to Coach Hesh and all those McKinley Bears!

Money from the Hy-Vee Cash 4 Student program is used towards purchasing items for the bear paw store. For those new to McKinley, we believe in acknowledging students for exemplifying the BEAR way. Our positive acknowledgement system centers on the use of BEAR paws. Students can use BEAR paws for various incentives including pizza parties on Friday’s as well as purchasing items at the BEAR paw store.
