Book Creator- #11
Book creator is an app that can be used across the curriculum and at any grade level. It's also supported with Google Chrome which will allow easy access when using a Chromebook! Book Creator is exactly what the name says- you create a book! It allows the user to use different tools including importing photos from your library, inserting audio and video, creating your own personalized drawings, and using comic templates to create a book of your choice.
Free Version (web browser)
The free version offers 1 library with storage up to 40 books (think group projects-collaboration). Libraries are created by the teacher and students are invited to create books within the library.
iPad Book Creator One
Book Creator One is the free version of Book Creator in the App Store. It's limited to creating just one book, and there's no access to comic templates. You can still have students use the iPad version and share that one book with you in your library.
What Would You Use This For?
This is a great tool for students to take their writing and bring it to life by using the different interactive tools in Book Creator. Students can also show their understanding of a concept, e.g., describing how the physical characteristics of the environment support populations and communities within an ecosystem, describing different parts of a map by creating their own and labeling, explaining how to solve a math problem by showing the different steps, or describing the data found from observations of an aquatic environment.
