Glocester Libraries' Welcomes New Children's Librarian - Katarina "Kat" Gillis
The Glocester Libraries welcomes Katarina "Kat" Gillis of Smithfield, our new Children's Librarian! Kat graduated magna cum laude from Rhode Island College in 2018, majoring in Psychology. She is now earning her Master's Degree in Library Science at the University of Rhode Island.

Lunar Landing Party
Thursday, August 8, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., Harmony Library
The Glocester Libraries will wrap up the Summer Reading Program with classic outdoor games like ring toss, corn hole, and lawn bowling. Stop in any time between 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. to play games and enjoy a special cold and creamy treat to celebrate all our readers have accomplished over the summer! Registration is not necessary.
Al Testa Jazz Quintet
Saturday, August 10, 4 p.m., Pavilion at Kent Field
Enjoy the lively sounds of the Al Testa Jazz Quintet. Their performance includes stylistic jazz improvisation, light rock, show tunes, and more. Registration is not necessary.

Dogs Days of Summer – Drop-in Craft

Age Level: All Ages
Celebrate the dog days of summer by creating a dog-themed craft in our Children’s Room. We will be using some fun materials including colored pencils, googly eyes, and colored felt.

Glocester Libraries’ Walking Club (Walk 8)
Wednesday, August 7, 8 a.m., Steere Hill Conservation Area. We will meet at the dirt parking lot on Putnam Pike (across from the Harmony Post Office).
We will return for a second time this summer to Steere Hill Conservation Area, but we will be walking on the Field, Cutter, and Phillips trails, with a short detour to a tiny cemetery. These trails offer a combination of shaded pine paths and open fields.Tuesday Movie Matinee
Tuesday Movie Matinees at the Glocester Manton Library are suspended for August and will resume in September.
Writers' Support Group
