Hadfield Library Centers
In 2nd grade students read Jack and the Beanstalk. Copies of other stories that were similar to Jack and the Beanstalk were available for kids to check out. Students then constructed their own beanstalks.
Hadfield 3rd - 5th grade students had a book discussion about bridges and architecture. Students then built "Straw Bridges" using only four materials - straws, paper clips, string and tape.

November Digital Citizenship
This month, our Digital Citizenship curriculum will focus on what it means to be a good Digital Citizen. You teach your children to be good citizens in their school and community, by respecting other people and property, being responsible and making their surroundings safe and better places. Now, we need to teach our students to do these things in the online world as well.
A good Digital Citizen looks for the best content online, by visiting safe, educational websites. They look for the best contact online, by never sharing personal information with others, and by being aware that there are online predators. And they use the best conduct online, by being kind to others online and respecting others’ intellectual property online.
Please encourage this online behavior with your children.
