MEA Ice Skaters
Below are some of the ice-skating MEA students that were in the "Christmas on Broadway" show put on by the San Diego Figure Skating Club. Mrs. Finney and Mrs. Flo got hugs from our youngest MEA ice skater (kindergarten!).

Winter Wonderland Week

This is Winter Wonderland Week! Tuesday is festive day so wear your Santa hats, reindeer antlers, Hanukkah hats, ugly sweaters, and whatever other fun holiday items you own. Wednesday is pajama day and Thursday is school/winter colors day (blue and white). ASB will also be providing some fun treats and activities during lunch throughout the week so be sure to participate!
Parent Community Group Meeting
Wednesday, December 19 / 2:00 pm / Room 10
We would like to invite all parents, of grades TK-12, to come to this second Parent Community Group meeting. We can share ideas and chat about community building activities.

Legoland
Sign up for our annual Legoland field trip by Friday, Dec. 21.
When: Friday, Feb. 8
What: Tickets include admission to both Legoland and the Sea Life aquarium
Cost: Tickets for children are $15, adults are $32 (unless you sign up in a 3:1 ratio with children. Then adults are $15)
Free parking passes are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Come sign up and pay (cash only) at the front office by 12/21. Yay!
Winter Break
School will be closed for winter break from December 24 - January 4. School will re-open on Monday, January 7. Enjoy the time off!
MEA Theatre Co.
Director Erin Petersen is adapting the classic "Alice in Wonderland" for this MEA Theatre Company production.

We are looking for folks wanting to share talents in science, technology, robotics, and the arts! All required district volunteer paperwork must be submitted in order to lead a class.

California students in kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to submit artwork or poetry with a California coastal or marine theme to the annual Coastal Art & Poetry Contest.

Gingerbread Crepes
The Student Cooking Show cast recently filmed their Gingerbread Crepe episode. After writing their own script for the show, they made both regular and gluten free versions of the crepes for filming.
