EAGLE EXPRESS
NOVEMBER 19, 2021
Eagle Academy encourages academic excellence by integrating proven instructional methods with a challenging curriculum and high expectations. This combination provides every child with the foundation needed to achieve proficiency of Eagle Academy’s performance standards at each instructional level.
As we enter the holiday season, I would like to thank each and every member of the EAGLE ACADEMY Charter School community for all the things that you do so freely and with such energy, enthusiasm, and indomitable spirit.
These actions (big or small) make a positive difference in the lives of all of our students and is truly what makes EACS such an incredible place to work and go to school.
To our EACS Families: Thank you for choosing Eagle Academy Charter School. The past two years have thrown us all for a loop and there are not enough words to express how grateful I am for the all hard work and long hours that you put in on a daily basis.
Each time you sit down with your child to practice their phonograms, work on solving Saxon math problems, or read a book with your child, you reinforce the importance of school and learning. The staff and I are grateful that your child's education a top priority. Please continue encouraging them to be the best version of themselves. You are amazing!
To the EACS Faculty & Staff: Thank you for all the time and effort you put into making our school so special. Over the past twenty months you have had to let go of much of what you you were used to and adapt to new practices. I know that I have asked a lot from you. In every instance, you have proven why Eagle Academy is a National Blue Ribbon School of Exemplary High Performance.
You continually pour your heart and soul into providing the highest quality instruction and support to our students and their families. I am so grateful to be surrounded by such a dedicated and hard working team of individuals who show pride in everything they do and who consistently go above and beyond to ensure the success of each of your students. You make sure that good things happen at school everyday. Thank you for your steadfast courage, flexibility, and willingness to adjust your sails and to focus first on what is best for our students.
To the Anchorage School District: Thank you for all of you "behind the scenes" support of Eagle Academy. Your embrace of our program bolsters our efforts to promote academic excellence for each and every one of our students.
I am so blessed to be a part of such an amazing community of learners and support personnel. There really is no place that I'd rather be.
In closing, I would like to wish all of you and your families blessed and safe Thanksgiving holiday!
With gratitude,
Deanne Carroll - EACS Principal

Have You Done This?
As part of the Eagle Academy Emergency Preparedness Plan, we would like each student to have a personal comfort kit. This kit contains special items to help children cope with stress & anxiety should we need to shelter in place during an emergency. The kits will be stored by class with our emergency supplies and will be returned to students at the end of the year on the last day of school.
When preparing your child’s comfort kit, please label and include the following items in a 1-gallon size Ziploc baggie:
1. one pair gloves or mittens and winter hat
2. one change of socks and underwear
3. one or two pre-packaged snacks (granola bars work well)
4. personal note to your child
5. family picture or small comfort item.
Please send this kit to school with your child as soon as possible. Ideally, we would like every student to have their kits in before we leave for Thanksgiving break. We appreciate your cooperation.
