HISPANIC HISTORY MONTH 2020
National Hispanic Heritage Month 2020 began on Tuesday, September 15 and ends on Thursday, October 15. During National Hispanic Heritage Month, the U.S. government celebrates the countless contributions of more than 60 million Hispanic Americans to our culture and society. Hispanic Americans are the largest minority group in the United States today, and generations of Hispanic Americans have consistently helped make our country strong and prosperous. They contribute to our Nation beyond description. Hispanic Americans embody the best of our American values, including commitment to faith, family, and country. They serve in our military and protect us as members of law enforcement. The Hispanic-American community has left an indelible mark on our government, culture, and economy.

2020 CENSUS
The Census is a count of every person who lives in the United States and its territories. Responding to the census helps your community get its fair share of funding. Census data guides how more than $675 billion in federal funding is distributed to states and communities each year for schools, health care facilities, roads, transportation, recreation centers, social services, and more. Official Census Bureau mail with detailed information on how to respond to were sent to all households. Time is running out! Your response matters, it affects health clinics, fire departments, schools, even road and highways. The Census can shape many different aspects of our community. There are three options for responding: online, phone, or mail. We want to encourage every CMS family to respond to the 2020 Census. Go to the link below for more information.
