Updated School Bell Times
We want to call your attention to the School Bell Times, as they were not recalculated after we eliminated the late start and early release times and then added half-days for staff professional development. This also affected the bus drop off times and the dismissal times by two minutes daily for elementary schools ONLY.
These changes have been made in Skyward Family Access, website, and School Bus Routes for 2019 - 2020 to assure accurate information is available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Curriculum Nights
K-2 Curriculum Night takes place from 6:30-8:00 PM on Monday, September 9th.
3-5 Curriculum Night takes place from 6:30-8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 11th.
Parents should join Mr. Drewno in the cafeteria at 6:30 PM to review important school information. Grade levels will follow at 7:00 PM. Curriculum Night will end at 8:00 PM each night.
Please remember that Curriculum Night is designed for parents only. Please make arrangements for children that evening. Thank you.
September PTA Meeting
Child care is provided at school for parents during our meeting. We look forward to seeing you!
Remind-Get Connected!
- Due to changes with the REMIND service, it is necessary to set up several separate grade level groups rather than one group for the entire school. We have created a REMIND GROUP for EACH GRADE LEVEL.
- It will be necessary for you to sign up again this year for REMIND to receive information, even if you signed up last year.
- If you have students in more than one grade level, feel free to sign up for multiple classes, but keep in mind you will receive multiple text messages with the same information.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call the main office @ 248.956.3800.
GET CONNECTED!

Dublin is a WELCOMING PLACE!
This month, our school-wide theme is our school as a welcoming place where every student feels like he or she belongs.
In our morning announcements and school assemblies, and in daily classroom lessons, we’ll be reminding students to welcome others and act and speak in safe, respectful, and responsible ways. In addition we’ll be reminding students of our school rules of being safe, respectful, responsible, having integrity and being resilient.
We’ll also begin teaching the Second Step program, which includes lessons that support these behaviors.
Support your child at home in welcoming others and acting and speaking in safe, respectful, and responsible ways. Please tell your child’s teacher if you have questions about specific ways you can help your child with these behaviors at home.
We will be having a short Back to School Assembly this week on Thursday, September 5th starting at 3:00 PM to begin this important work with our students.
Thank you for helping to partner with us here at Dublin to help our students be learners, and kind, respectful people.

Our main office has tickets for sale $25.00 each. Please stop in to purchase or follow this LINK.
What is LAYA: Youth Assistance is a non-profit organization that offers professional counseling services and conducts programs for youth and their families who live within the Walled Lake School District.
Our mission is to strengthen youth and families through volunteer involvement. LAYA is one of 26 programs of the Oakland County Circuit Court-Family Division.
Invisible Dad Lunch Program
In Walled Lake Schools, the 12 WL elementary schools have adopted the Invisible Dad program which entitles all children to a school lunch, even if a student’s lunch account does not have money in it.
Invisible Dad accounts have been set up at our schools to cover lunch for children whose parents have forgotten, are unable, or for whatever reason have not kept their account up-to-date. Parents receive a confidential notification that their child has accessed the Invisible Dad account and they are given an opportunity to update the account, complete a Free and Reduced Lunch form or to talk to a school administrator.
For more information on the Invisible Dad Program, visit the program's webpage.
TO DONATE: Please make a check out to your Walled Lake School with Invisible Dad in the “memo” line. This money will keep the account for your school able to continue this important program.
