Which GA Bus Will Win Due to Their Positive Behaviors?
Dear Families,
Happy Fall. Breakfast is now free for all students. If your child would like breakfast in the AM, they should report to the cafeteria when they first arrive. Kindergarten students should let their classroom teacher know as they will help them get breakfast at Fern Hill Elementary School if interested.
Here is a note from Mrs. Stewart about Kindness Week:
October is National Bullying Prevention Month! We will be focusing on encouraging acts of kindness during
IT’S COOL TO BE KIND WEEK, from October 17-21!
At Glen Acres, we have a long-standing commitment to bullying prevention and helping our students make safe choices. We can put a stop to bullying through acts of kindness. During various announcements this week, we will remind students how to be kind to others on a daily basis!
On the last day, we will be focusing on how we can be kind to ourselves by making safe choices and saying no to drugs!
Starting MONDAY, OCTOBER 17, we will be collecting items for the West Chester Food Cupboard.
Please click the link below for a list of the items they collect.

On Monday, October 17, we have an assembly about bullying prevention (https://omegamanschools.com/) and students are encouraged to wear superhero t-shirts! If that’s not in their wardrobe, wear Glen Acres Spirit Wear OR the color GREEN. All are choices to show they are active members of a KIND community!
On Tuesday, October 18, let’s mix things up and wear mismatched clothing! Be kind to someone you don’t always interact with. Invite someone new to play with you and/or your friends at recess!
On Wednesday, October 19, students are encouraged to wear ORANGE. It’s UNITY DAY (https://www.pacer.org/bullying/) and we want our students to show that they STAND TOGETHER TO CREATE A WORLD OF KINDNESS! We will also be complimenting other people all day long!
On Thursday, October 20, show we are crazy for kindness with crazy hair and/or crazy socks!
On Friday, October 21, it’s warm and fuzzy Friday when we dream about kindness! Let’s be comfortable and wear pajamas!
Everyone will watch a video this week about being an ‘Upstander’, demonstrating how to help those who might be targets of unkind behavior/bullying. You can find the video on YouTube: ‘Be an Upstander’ (NED Show).
