This fall, the Glocester Libraries’ Story Time programs are live on Facebook in an effort to continue our tradition of quality story time programs while making your experience as safe as possible.
Story Time with Miss Annie (Pre-recorded)
Thursday, November 5, video 3 to 5 minutes length
Age Level: Preschoolers
Watch a weekly pre-recorded video with Miss Annie reading a story, offering suggestions for activities, and singing songs! New videos will be posted weekly on November 5, 12, 19; and December 3 and December 10.
Tuesday Facebook Live Baby/Toddler Story Time

Age Level: Infant to 3 years old
Join us on Facebook with your child, ages: infant to 3 years old, for stories, finger plays, and songs! A new program begins on November 10, November 17, December 1, and December 8.
Thursday Facebook Live Preschool Story Time

Age Level: Ages 3 to 5 years old
Join us on Facebook Live with your preschoolers for stories, finger plays, and songs! A new program begins on November 12, November 19, December 3, and December 10.

Harmony November Crafts
Begins Monday, November 2, during library hours, Harmony Library
Age Level: All Ages
Crafts continue with a new craft each Monday at the Harmony Library! The crafts include:

· November 23: Turkey Hat Craft
Note: Crafts are on a first-come, first-served basis. Crafts at the two libraries are different.
November Family Time Pickup Craft

Pie Time with Ms. Nancy

Age Level: This is a fun Mom & Me, Dad & Me, Grandma & Me, etc. project.
Make a fun no-bake pie for Thanksgiving with just three ingredients! Watch Ms. Nancy make this yummy pie on our Glocester Libraries’ YouTube Channel and on our website.
Pass the Popcorn – Family Movie Night
Thursday, November 19, library hours, Harmony Library
Age Level: All Ages
Families, help the Harmony Library while picking up some essential movies night supplies! Visit the Harmony Library, choose a movie from our collection, and the library will provide the popcorn, hot chocolate, and the four popcorn boxes upon check out! A donation is not expected but greatly appreciated for our children’s programs. Note: Concessions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Virtual Pajama Story Time

Age Level: Ages 3 to 6 years old
Join Miss Kat and Bonnie the Bunny for our very first virtual pajama story time! Settle down with your snacks, enjoy some songs, stories, and felt board activities with Miss Kat!
Special Tutoring Program
Bryant University/Glocester Libraries’ Virtual Tutoring Program
November 2020 through May 2021, weekly one-hour sessions, Zoom
Bryant University with the Glocester Libraries will offer students in grades 3 and up homework assistance as well as extra help with school subjects. These hour-long individual sessions with a Bryant University student are part of a Federal Work Study Agreement through Bryant University and will be offered virtually for the 2020-2021 school year. Interested families should email Glocester Manton Library Assistant Nancy Steere at nancysteereya@gmail.com. Upon receipt of your email, you will be contacted by phone. Please include your primary contact phone number in your email. Note: Space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Youth Paint Night

RITBA Book Reviews for Community Service

Age Level: Ages 10 years and older
Do you need community service hours? Write an original one-paragraph book review of a RITBA 2021 nominee book to receive one hour of community service. Tell us what you liked or did not like; if you would recommend it; and how many stars (1 to 5), you would give it! Email your review to glocesteryouth@gmail.com with your name and grade.

Adult Programs
Wire Art – Tree of Life
Wednesday, November 4, 2 p.m., Glocester Manton Library
Join us as we create a tree of life from copper wire and beads. Local artist, Kate Steere, will take you step-by-step to create a one-of-a-kind small wall hanging. This craft program is limited to six participants. We will be following CDC guidelines, so please wear a mask and do not attend if you are not feeling well. We ask that you bring a pair of wire cutters and small pliers. Please register online at glocesterlibraries.org.
Evening Book Discussion and Dinner
Monday, November 9, 6 p.m., Harmony Library
Join us for a delicious dinner followed by a lively discussion of The German House by Annette Ness. The story follows the involvement of a young translator hired to work at the Frankfurt Auschwitz trials of 1963. Our discussion will take place in an area of the library where participants can spread out to follow social distancing guidelines. Dinner consists of delicious pre-wrapped food.
