Lineville Intermediate School Class Choices
Earlier this week, students in 4th grade students visited Lineville Intermediate School for a Music Class Demonstration to help in choosing a music class for 5th grade. Musicians in Band, Chorus, and Orchestra performed for the 4th graders and discussed the music class options. You are now able to register your choices for music and other classes through March 22nd.
More information about the music classes is accessible on the music class website: http://linevillehssd.weebly.com/music.html.
Musical Instrument Donations
School District Band and Orchestra teachers are seeking used band and orchestra instrument donations. Donated instruments in good playing condition are maintained by the Giving Tree and offered to students whose families cannot afford instrument rental costs.
If you have an unused band instrument at home, please consider donating it to the district music department. Donations can be dropped off in the Lineville Intermediate School Office. Please contact Mr. Zipperer (band; andrzipp@hssdschools.org ) or Mr. Wucherer (orchestra; stepwuch@hssdschools.org ) with any questions. Thank you.

HSSD Safety Update
The HSSD Safety and Security Committee has used State Safety Grant money to train employees on ALICE (threat response) and Trauma Informed Care (mental wellness). The Committee will continue to engage more students, parents, and community partners to provide a safe learning environment for our students and staff. Perhaps this is the most important work the Committee is accomplishing, as everyone’s voice matters in regard to safety and security. Doing what we can to protect our students, parents, and staff is our most important responsibility.
If you have questions for the Board of Education, please reach out to your Board member located in this article.
