PK & Kindergarten Orientation ~ Wednesday, August 26th
We are very excited to meet and welcome our newest and youngest Bears!
- PK Orientation, via Zoom, is being held on Wednesday, August 26th from 9 - 10 am.
- Kindergarten Orientation, via Zoom, is being held on Wednesday, August 26th from 10:15 - 11:15 am.
Zoom links will be sent to families via email on Monday, 8/24.
These will be recorded for families to view later if they are unable to make the Orientation during the live zoom.
Materials Distribution UPDATE ~ August 31st
**UPDATE:
Materials Pick-Up will be a Drive-Thru format only, just as we are doing for Chromebook distribution and as we did last spring. Please remain in your car and wait for your teacher or a staff member to come to you. As we did last Spring, it would be helpful for you to put your child's first and last name on a VISIBLE sign on your windshield.
We are very excited to meet and greet our students and are providing this format to keep everyone safe. Please note that teachers may not be present at times outside of the designated grade level time.
There will be a specific lane designated for each grade level. Look for the posted signs as you enter the parking lot directing you to the appropriate grade level lane for your assigned time. One grade level will be assigned to the valet lane and another to the lane THROUGH the staff lot.
**UPDATED Pick-Up schedule is as follows:
- 9:00 - 10:00 am --> Preppy K, Kindergarten and SDC classes
- 10:15 - 11:15 am --> 1st and 3rd grades
- 11:30 am - 12:30 pm --> 4th and 6th grades
- 12:45 - 1:45 pm --> 2nd and 5th grades
- 2:00 - 3:30 pm --> OPEN TO ALL GRADES (teachers may not be present)

Back to School Night & Brookhaven PTA News
Our PTA will hold our first General Association Meeting, via zoom, on this evening as well at 5:30 pm. At this meeting, we will introduce our 2020-2021 Board, share and vote on the budget and introduce our 2020-21 staff. The Zoom link will be provided during the first week of school prior to 9/3. The budget and meeting agenda have been posted on our school website under the PTA tab. Additionally, we are excited to announce that you can look forward to a monthly PTA Newsletter this year! The first edition will be shared this week.
PTA Reflections Contest 2020
PTA is proud to announce the theme for the annual Reflections contest. This year the theme is "I Matter Because...". Information regarding this annual Reflections contest are posted on our school website. Students are encouraged to review the information on the flyer and participate in this fantastic creative opportunity!
What to bring to Materials Pick Up Day
You are welcome to bring the following forms to Materials Pick-Up Day. You do not need to send or bring them to the office prior to that day.
- Meyers-Stevens Insurance Form - found in Parent Portal in the Data Confirmation section
- PTA waiver form

PYLUSD Meal Service during Remote Learning
The school district will be providing grab and go breakfast and lunch meals while students are in 100% Remote Learning. Students in free or reduced status will receive meals at no charge, however students in paid status will receive the meals for $4.50. Please click on this Link for more details.
