Need to know
Community Engagement - December Programming: In pre-pandemic years, homeroom holiday baskets were organized, due to changing needs and evolving focus for student-led community service projects, this year the Elementary School will take a different route and focus on a variety of fundraising and donation projects that serve vulnerable communities during the holiday season and beyond into 2023. Beginning on Monday, December 5th, the Community Service Squad students will share their plans for a school-wide fundraiser and donation projects for the month of December during assembly. The way students are working may look different than previous years, but the Elementary School will continue contributing and helping to serve the needs of different local communities. Thank you to all those that have expressed interest and inquired about supporting community service initiatives for the holiday season. More details will follow in next week’s Mailbag, once the boys have shared this month’s initiatives with their peers at our Monday Assemblies.
News from the Library: Friday, December 9 is the last day for book borrowing before the Winter Break. All books should be returned before the break starts.
Elementary School Holiday Assembly: There will be a short, informal holiday assembly for the elementary students on Wednesday, December 7 from 2:15 to 2:45 pm in Coristine hall. The performance will be videotaped to be shared at a later time. Each grade will perform one song using the instrument that they have been working on. A few students from grade 6 will perform a song as a band. The theme of the concert will be winter celebrations.
