Honoring our Veterans
Hello MTMS families!
Thank you to those of you who brought in pictures of your veterans. If you have not brought your picture in yet it is not too late. Help us honor our veterans by bringing copies of pictures labeled with the name of the veteran and their connection to our students to our Middle School office Monday or Tuesday of this week. Please only send copies preferably in color if possible so pictures do not have to be returned.
These pictures will be put on the wall in the commons for all students to see as we celebrate their service for Veterans Day 2021.
Thank you for helping us help our students recognize and respect the service of our nations veterans.
MTMS Veteran Day 2021 will include a video presentation by Mr. Hileman. To allow you as a family to honor our veterans, look for a link to the presentation to be sent out on Thursday via Skyward.
8th Grade ELA and Pathways
8th graders have been busy writing in both ELA and Pathways! Editing each other’s work helps students make sure they have included everything in their own writing as well.
Items needed for the Wolf Track Cart
Please continue to support our PBIS at school (positive behavioral interventions supports). Each team has as an Amazon wish list on their team website for ideas for our students to enjoy for rewards for good behavior.
Thank you!

Covid-19 Vaccinations
If you would like the Covid-19 vaccination to be part of your student’s school health records, please provide a copy of the Covid-19 vaccination card, front and back to Theresa Koeckeritz, RN, MTMS school nurse. You can send a copy in with your student or send a copy to Tkoeckertiz@usd232.org. The district does not require proof of this vaccination.
What if a doctor diagnoses your child with the flu?
Current recommendations from the JOCO Health Department, KDHE, & USD 232 are exclusion from school for diagnosed influenza for 5 days following the onset of symptoms (from the day when symptoms began…not the day the doctor gave the diagnosis) or until fever free for 24 hours without the aid of fever reducing medications, whichever is longer.
Flu symptoms, Covid-19, and allergy symptoms are very similar.
See the chart below for Covid-19 vs. Cold vs. Flu vs. Allergies information.
