A Message To Our GUSD Class of 2022
Time and again, our students have demonstrated that there are no limits to what they can achieve. This year, all four of our comprehensive high schools ranked among the nation’s best once again according to the U.S. News and World Report. They all improved their rankings from the prior year and ranked in the top 16% of 23,800 high schools nationwide. Our students have received top honors and been nationally recognized for academics, athletics, the arts, and Career and Technical Education programs, including environmental engineering, robotics, culinary arts, public safety, automotive and construction skills, health, science, and engineering.
In Glendale Unified School District, we help our students grow into independent, resourceful, culturally competent leaders of tomorrow. I have every confidence that our amazing graduating seniors will go on to excel in their chosen careers, effect positive change, and create a brighter future for generations to come!
Congratulations!

Summer Plans For Student Chromebooks And Hotspots
To ensure all of our students have access to educational technology and resources throughout the summer, Glendale Unified students who have checked out Chromebooks and/or hotspots are permitted to keep them during the summer months. This opportunity allows students to use their devices for summer activities to help them prepare for school to resume in August.
The exceptions to this opportunity are the following three scenarios:
- Graduating seniors
Students who are graduating must return their devices according to the schedule defined by their high school.
- Students leaving Glendale Unified
Any students leaving the district must return their devices by their exit date. The devices can be checked in at either the school or the district office kiosk between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- 8th Graders at Roosevelt, Toll, and Wilson MS
8th grade students who participated in the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools (VILS) program at Roosevelt, Toll, and Wilson Middle Schools and are promoting to 9th grade must return their Samsung Chromebook to their school on the day specified by their schools. Students may check out a district Chromebook and/or hotspot from the district office kiosk between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the summer.
