Spring 2018: Volume V Issue IV
Superintendent's Message
Dear Montvale Families,
Spring Greetings! Today we celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Day! In Montvale we are fortunate to have dedicated, caring, progressive and dynamic teachers who always put their students first. I want to personally thank our staff for all of their efforts.
With less than two months to go in the school year, now is a good time to sit down with your children and talk about summer plans...registering for the Montvale Summer Institute (MSI), keeping a journal, selecting books to read, finalizing vacation plans and going over safety reminders. It is also a good time to talk with your children about all of the growth they have shown this school year (physically, academically, socially, and behaviorally). It is important for children to receive feedback about areas they have improved upon and areas for more growth.
Helen Keller wrote, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” In Montvale, we have been able to do so much because of all that you do to support our schools. Next year, if you are not currently involved, I encourage you to get involved in the Montvale Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and Montvale Educational Foundation (MEF). With more involvement, we can do even more!
Sincerely,
Darren
