Student Council Spirit Day
Our first Dublin Spirit Day will be on Friday, October 28th. In honor of the big game on Saturday, we are encouraging our students to show their school spirit by wearing their favorite team's clothing or colors, Michigan vs Michigan State.
As in the past, we ask for a 25 cent donation for each spirit day and the proceeds go toward a specific fundraiser. This fundraiser is for a family in our community, The Tsurui Family, who (both parents and children) were former students of Walled Lake Schools. Their son, PJ, was in a tragic motorcycle accident and is paralyzed from the waist down. The family is currently making modifications to their home to make it wheelchair accessible to bring their son home from rehab at U of M by the end of the month. Our goal is to help them with the burden of medical expenses and home modification expenses.
Since this is such an important cause, we would like to add a raffle to the spirit day event. We would like to sell raffle tickets throughout the week at lunch for Michigan and Michigan State items . If you could donate any items for the raffle it would be greatly appreciated. Send any donations to the office by Monday, October 24th. Thank you so much for your support!
