Lets Shoot for a PERFECT (100% ) ATTENDANCE in October
Attendance Matters
This year the count period runs from September 30 - October 25.
APB COMMUNITY SEAT
The Academic Policy Board (APB) is accepting applications to fill our vacant Community Member seat.
The Academic Policy Board consists of seven (7) members: four parents, one community member at large and two teachers of Eagle Academy. The parent positions must be filled by parents of students currently attending Eagle Academy and may not be filled by teachers, permanent staff members, or long-term temporary staff members of Eagle Academy. The community member may be a parent or classified employee but may not be a certificated staff member.
Please see the attached application for more details. If interested, please return the application in a sealed envelope to the front office by Monday, 9/30.
School Safety & Electronic Sign In System
In light of the increase in violent acts committed on school grounds across the country, last spring Eagle Academy (with the help of the Anchorage School District) installed a new security camera monitoring system and locking doors. The primary motivation for installing the security features was as a precaution and to add an additional layer of protection around our students and staff.
Additionally, many of you may have noticed we are trying a new electronic sign in system to sign in/out students and to track visitors/volunteers in our building. We know that it has been taking a few seconds longer as everyone learns to navigate the system. Principal Carroll and the front office staff want to thank everyone and let you know how much we appreciate your patience and understanding as we transition from paper/pen to the electronic tracking system.
Sincerely,
Deanne Carroll - Principal
