Guidelines for MTMS Students attending after school Athletic Events
MTMS students staying to watch a game expectations:
- Report to the cafeteria at 3:05 on game days. Students may use the time after school as a study hall, to quietly talk, or play a game or cards. Mandatory quiet time may be assigned at the discretion of the supervisor. Students must ask the supervisor's permission in order to leave the cafeteria for any reason.
- Any student who chooses to leave after school can only attend the game with supervision of a parent/legal guardian.
- Stay in the building or at the football game during the entire course of the game. Any student who leaves the building or football field during the game will be required to leave school grounds and will not be allowed to return.
- Be sitting in the bleachers in the student section while the game is in play. Students will be given the opportunity at all game breaks, such as quarter break, match breaks, and half-time to get concessions and use the restroom. If a student misbehaves, engages in unsafe behavior, or displays poor sportsmanship the student may be given an assigned seat, asked to leave or have additional school consequences.
- Make arrangements for post-game transportation before arriving at school. Students should be picked up from football games by 5:30 and volleyball and basketball games by 6:00. Students should not expect to use the school phone to call for a ride home. Students who consistently fail to make previous arrangements may be required to bring a note in order to stay or not be allowed to stay for future games.

Immunizations: Attention 7th Grade Parents:
All immunization records received have been entered into Skyward. If your student is missing required immunizations, Tdap and/or Meningococcal, you will continue to get notifications such as e-mails and calls until the nurse receives documentation of required immunization.
Monday, October 10, 2022 is the due date to become compliant with required immunizations. Your student may be excluded from school if documentation of missing immunization is not received by the due date. Please contact the school nurse with questions regarding immunizations.
From the Nurse’s Office
Allergy season continues! The nurse’s office doesn’t supply medication for seasonal allergies. Please have your student take allergy medication at home. There are several over-the-counter medications that work 24 hours available. There are over-the-counter-eye drops and eye-lid wipes made especially for allergies also available.

A Few Words from the Principal
Timberwolf Success Program is also a way for students to get additional support in their classes. This after-school program is available Tuesday - Thursday from 3:05 - 4:30 to provide an opportunity for students to work and get teacher assistance on homework/ projects. Encourage your student to take advantage of this opportunity if they need additional time to complete their work or don't understand a concept and need it retaught to them. We have several teachers available to work in small groups or one-on-one with students at the Timberwolf Success Program Tuesday - Thursday 3:05 - 4:30. Students attending need to report to the Media Center by 3:05 and have a way home at 4:30.

2023 Washington D.C. Trip Zoom Meeting - Tuesday Sep 13, 2022 6:00 PM Grades 6-12
Hello MTMS,
I organize the Washington D.C. Trip for all three middle schools and both high schools in our district. I have taken students and parents to our nation’s capital 28 times during my career. Something new has been offered to us.
I will be having a Zoom meeting to share the details about next years trip. We will travel over labor day weekend from Friday September 1st to Monday September 4th. If students are registered for next years trip before September 30th 2022, they will get next years trip at this years price and a $100 deduction. This has never been offered before… that is the reason for this meeting. I will be running the meeting on my IMAC. Professional Zoom will only allow 49 participants including me. I will turn on Zoom around 5:50. It will be first come first serve. If you are unable to join, email me at keilh@usd232.org and I can extend the meeting or have another meeting right after this one.
I was never able to take this trip in MS or HS. I am honored to make this available to my students and their families now.
Take Care. Stay in touch. Stay safe. – Mr. Keil HIleman
