FAFSA Verification
Seniors,
FAFSA verification is a request to complete a form verifying that the information you submitted on your FAFSA is accurate.
How will I know if I am chosen for FAFSA verification?
You will receive notification from the college you applied to. The notification will usually appear in your college online portal under the Financial Aid Tab and might appear as a "to do" or a "task" to complete. There are times when the U.S. Department of Education's Federal Student Aid office will ask for verification after submitting the FAFSA. The request will appear on your SAR, Student Aid Report.
What should I do if I am asked to verify?
When the college makes the request there is usually a form that is attached to the request. Fill out the form and send it back as soon as possible.
What information will I need to complete the form?
Usually the information needed will fall into one or more of these categories; household size, family members in college, adjusted gross income (tax returns, W-2), taxes paid, and other forms of income such as child support or Social Security benefits.
What if I have questions?
Contact the the financial aid office at the requesting college. The contact information should be listed on your "portal" or on the college website.
Additional information can be found on the Federal Student Aid website link.

Sophomore and Freshmen Knights,
We are pleased to announce that Arizona College Prep is introducing a new college planning system called SCOIR. We have chosen SCOIR to help you navigate the college selection and application process because it is simply the best system available for discovering colleges that match your personal as well as academic interests.
To register your account follow this link or log onto ACP Erie, Academics, College and Career Center, Join SCOIR. You will receive an email to join SCOIR and build your account. Once you create your account, you can immediately begin using SCOIR to search for and start building a list of colleges that interest you.
Your parents will also have access to SCOIR to assist you in your college selection and to gain more insight about the cost of attendance at different colleges. We will use this tool in the future to communicate with you during your college planning process and to electronically deliver your application materials to colleges.
You will also have access to a platform called YouScience. SCOIR has partnered with YouScience to provide a comprehensive career and aptitude assessment. To complete your YouScience assessment, click the Get Started button in the Career Profile tile. You can return to the assessment at any time by clicking the Get Started button. Once you have begun your YouScience assessment, you can always return to where you left off by clicking the Finish the assessment button. When you’ve finished the assessment, be sure to save careers on YouScience by clicking the Save Career button in the career’s tile.
We are excited to be able to provide SCOIR to our students and families, and we feel confident that you will find it helpful and easy to use. Before you get started, please take a moment to watch the short videos below to help you become familiar with how to use SCOIR.

Chandler Education Foundation IMPACT Scholars
Freshmen,
In addition to classroom enrichment, Chandler Education Foundation is committed to investing in our future by providing CUSD high school students with experiences that directly engage them in strengthening our community. The IMPACT Chandler Scholars program requires a student’s formal commitment in their freshman year:
Students commit to:
• maintain a 3.4 or greater GPA
• cumulative attendance at 95% or greater
• submit at least 35 hours of community service* before the first day of their junior year
• submit at least 100 hours of community service* before April 1st of their senior year
Students who fulfill all program requirements are considered IMPACT Scholars and receive additional honors at graduation including letters of recommendation and an honor cord to wear with their cap and gown.
IMPACT Chandler Scholars are then considered eligible to apply for an IMPACT Scholarship. In years past, this scholarship has been approximately $1,000 per award and is based upon available funding each year.
In 2019, the Foundation awarded over $72,000 in IMPACT Scholarships.
Incoming freshman may now enroll in IMPACT via Infinite Campus. Enrollment will be open throughout the year. Freshmen must enroll through their Infinite Campus account. Parents are not able to access enrollment directly but a confirmation email will be sent to the parent/guardian listed in Infinite Campus.
Enroll:
1. Students, log in to your Infinite Campus account
2. Select the blue IMPACT link, typically located under the MORE section
3. Read and review the information contained in the IMPACT Scholars document.
4. Please note, verification emails will be sent to the email address listed in the document. CUSD has assigned you a student email and your verification will be emailed to that address in addition to your primary parent/guardian listed in Infinite Campus.
Submitting Hours:
Once you opt into the program, you will use the SAME link to begin submitting hours. All
hours must be submitted through this link.
You may download a Community Service form located on the CEF IMPACT Scholars Website. This is for your records only but may be asked for should there be a question or concern about your submission.
Your volunteer service supervisor's email will serve as their signature.
