Greetings Panthers!
Thank you to our families and teachers for your collaboration and support during October conferences. With the change of school being back to in-person learning, managing COVID-19 protocols, and students adjusting to being at school full-time the past two months have gone by fast. I am looking forward to seeing our students continue to improve in their academics, problem solving skills, and stamina as the year continues.
At school we have been busy getting our programming running as close to normal as possible and we are thankful for our partnership with Boys & Girls Club. This past week the club was able to hire two more staff members and is now able to serve all of the students who have been waiting for a spot in the program. Boys & Girls Club is a highlight for many children by offering them structured games, mentoring and help with homework and life skills. If you have any questions about Boys & Girls Club please stop by the school after 2:00 and the staff will be more than happy to assist you.
A special shout out goes to Mr. Baker and Mrs. Vance for coaching our 4th and 5th grade volleyball team. The dedication and teamwork of this group is amazing... especially since the team practices starting at 7:30 am each Thursday and Friday. Keep it up Panthers!
With the holiday season approaching fast please reach out to Miss Staci if your family has any need for food or resources. With that in mind I would like to send a big thank you to the Firestone family, Landerholm Law, Police Activities League of SW Wa, NuStar Energy, the Port of Vancouver, April Joy Farms and our many individual donors who have continued to support Fruit Valley throughout the years. In just the past month we have received financial donations, coats, clothing, gloves, shoes, food, and household items to support our students. Thank you!
See you soon,
-Mr. Fechter

VPS Panorama SEL Well-Being Survey Nov. 8-23
Dear Fruit Valley Families:
We are asking that all of our students in grades 3-12 participate in a survey that will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how we can improve and adapt our district to their needs. The responses to these surveys will be used by building staff to provide building-wide, small group, and one-on-one supports for students. We are partnering with a third-party vendor, Panorama, to support us in administering these surveys. For Panorama FAQs, visit this link: FAQs | Panorama Education .
