Welcome!
Happy Reading,
Kelly Hincks
Hello! My name is Abby Symanow and I will be working with the preschool and junior kindergarten students this year in the library. I studied Elementary Education at Michigan State University, where I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in May 2014. I then received my Master's Degree in Educational Technology from MSU while studying in Galway, Ireland. Before joining Kelly in the library this year, I was a classroom teacher for 2nd grade and PK4. I will also be teaching 2nd-grade math and 4th grade reading this year. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know! My email address is asymanow@dcds.edu.
Yours truly,
Abby Symanow

My Child's Library Book
When returning a book students in preschool and JK can place it in the designated spot in their classroom. In kindergarten through second-grade, students can return it to their classroom bin or to the book drop outside the library. In third and fourth grade, students can turn it into the library book drop across from the office.
Books are due each week on your child's library check out day. Children are welcome to return a book sooner if they are finished with it. They can also ask for it to be renewed if they would like to keep it for another week. Below is a list of each classroom's library check out day.
