Assembly Message: We Can All Be Heroes by Helping Everyone Respect Others.
Dear Families,
We had a good few weeks. As you know we are committed to working with our students on demonstrating respect, responsibility and kindness every day. This past week, the students had fun participating in many of the kindness activities that Mrs. Stewart and the teachers planned. Many thanks to the parents and PTO for funding the Omegaman Assembly. Guardian, the superhero speaker at the assembly, creatively delivered a message to the students about the importance of making good choices. He explained how our choices can impact others. Therefore, we should work hard every day to make good choices. In addition, Guradian, explained that everyone can be a H.E. R. O ( help, everyone , respect others) by identifying and responding appropriately when we see a peer making bad choices.
On October 27th , we look forward to the GA Chorus' Fall Harvest Concert . They will perform at school during the day for students ( students in grades k-5 will see the concert) and in the evening for parents.
Additionally, on October 29th, The PTO Homeroom parents will host a Fall/Halloween party for students. Please make sure you communicate with your child's teacher if your child has food allergies or any other restrictions during the party.
Our students are invited to wear costumes on October 29th during the PTO sponsored Fall Fest Trunk or Treat Celebration. Please see the flyer below if you are interested in attending. While at GA on Halloween, 10/31, we ask that you do NOT send your child in with costumes. With that being said, if your child would like to wear a festive t-shirt, hair clip, socks or Halloween Colors, that is fine.
Finally, your teacher will reach out to you by the beginning of November to schedule a parent teacher conference during the week of November 21st.
Enjoy the next couple of weeks. Donna
