Feedback/Advice from Current ECP Students
Student Testimonies
- Don't be too scared. You will have time to do the assignments on the weekend. The workload isn't overwhelming. The teachers just want you to succeed. By doing these classes now you get a sample of the subject, and if you are doing ECP, it is less money spent at college and saves you time.
- They're fun, they open your worldview, familiarize you with college, prepare you for college, can make getting your undergraduate degree easier (and quicker), and is an overall amazing way to take full advantage of your HS student status.
- It's not that bad, most of the teachers want you to pass and are understanding if you have any situations or difficulties and will be willing to accommodate you if you ask. You also have to check your emails and canvas often, I would suggest always having notifications on so you don't miss assignments and due dates. You should also have a plan of when to work because in an online setting, you are the only one holding yourself accountable
- Itβs a great opportunity, this is a chance to do some exploring and take this as a advantage. Especially if this can help you save a lot of money and transfer credits. In addition, this also permits you to network with other professors. Speaking of professors, you can always, anytime, contact the professors for assistant or even a simple question. Even if your still scared, you can always ask the CTEs and they will assist you by giving you advices and the every information you need to get. Or perhaps if your afraid of ruining your transcript, it is why there is such things call drop class date, which allows you to drop classes and it wonβt show that you drop the class on your transcript. But again, college classes are extremely helpful in many ways: building up skills, learning new things, create an organization knowing what you need to know, save money, transfer credit to colleges and some universities, as well as networking [,etc.].
- College credit classes may sound scary but it's just another class. The only difference is that you're getting college credit instead. Treat it like you would any other class, put in effort, commitment, and pay attention.
