Google Chrome
Self-Paced Professional Development Course
What is Google Chrome?
How can I use it to enhance & transform my classroom?
Students can look up ANYTHING they want to know… and so can you! The phase “Google it” has become part of modern culture. Although you can access the Google search engine from any browser, Chrome (being another Google App itself) has it built right in. Just type your search in the address box and skip the step of actually going to Google.
Access Google Apps like Classroom, Drive, Docs, etc. quickly with the app manager (a.k.a. “the waffle”)
Chrome extensions can make everything more efficient and accessible. Look for extensions that fulfill your classroom needs, whatever they are. Students with special needs or modifications may especially benefit from the use of extensions.
Using a different device at home than at school? Sign in to Chrome on both devices and you’ll be able to easily get back to a website in your history on the opposite device. No more trying to remember how you found it or what it was called.
