Dean of Students message
On behalf of the Office of the Dean of Students, welcome to the Redhawk family! We are enjoying a beautiful, sunny summer in Seattle while eagerly awaiting your student’s arrival on-campus. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about the resources available to your student through the Office of the Dean of Students. We work in partnership with staff and faculty across campus to cultivate a safe, healthy, and engaged living and learning environment where students can thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.
Sometimes students face difficult circumstances in their personal or academic lives that become a potential barrier to their success. When faced with these challenges, our CARE Team offers help, support, and referrals to resources with the goal of helping students overcome barriers to their full participation in campus life. You can refer a student to the CARE Team by sending a brief email to care@seattleu.edu. We look forward to partnering with you to support your student’s success in the years to come.
New student retreat
In 2018, NSR will be offered November 2-4 and November 16-18. Scholarships are available to cover the $30 retreat fee as needed. Encourage your student to learn more about the retreat and to register here: https://www.seattleu.edu/campus-ministry/retreats/new-student-retreat/.
