Kansas State Testing
State Assessments will begin after Spring Break. Please review the list below to prepare students to take the assessments.
- Students should bring their fully-charged MacBook to school
- Students should bring a set of earbuds or headphones to use during each test. Per district decision, Airpods are not allowed during testing sessions.
- On test days, make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and eats a healthy breakfast. Thank you for encouraging them to do their best.
Kansas State Testing Dates
- ELA Assessment: Grades 6-8: April 14th-15th
- Math Assessment: Grades 6-8: April 28th-29th
- Science Assessment (Grade 8): May 5th-6th

Covid-19 and Illness
Please report all symptoms of illness to the school. Please be specific, expect a follow up call if you report “student not feeling well”. If your student is exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19, you will receive specific instructions for your student. If your student has been exposed to Covid-19, please keep your student home and contact MTMS for further instructions. Hearing and Vision Screenings
Hearing and Vision Screenings are currently being performed with 6th and 8th grade students. You will be contacted by e-mail if your student fails a screening. You will not be contacted if your student passes the screening. You can view your student’s screening results in Skyward Family Access. Go into Skyward under the Health Info Tab then change view to “Show Test” then select the results you wish to view.
7th grade students are not scheduled to be screened but will be screened by parent or teacher request.
