Need to Know
Pre-University: Only a few days remain before the Gr. 12 Application Deadline - Sunday, January 15. Selwyn House now offers an excellent alternative to CEGEP with outstanding academics and athletics. Apply for this one-year program for your son to have a direct path to university in Quebec and beyond with no Bill 96 requirements. Our Gr. 12 offers three streams tailored to students’ future university goals: Commerce, Science and Liberal Arts. Gryphon Sale: Wednesday, January 18, Winter Gryphon Sale , 7:00 - 11:00 AM in the Rossy Agora. Gently-used uniform items for sale. Payment options are cash, debit cards, credit cards or cheques. All proceeds benefit the Nancy Pitfield Scholarship Fund, which helps in offering bursaries to students. If you cannot bring your son, please make sure you bring his measurements!

Judges for Grade 8 Science Fair: Selwyn House is holding our annual Grade 8 Science Fair Thursday, February 2, and we are currently looking for judges. If you are interested and available on February 2, 8:00 - 10:30 AM, please email Ms. Meghan Dalton asap! A more detailed schedule of the day will be forwarded to you upon your reply. Extensive knowledge of science is not required.

Calling All Scholars! The Montreal Round of the World Scholars Cup is taking place at St George’s School Feb 12-13. Selwyn House students have historically had successful showings at this fun, multi-faceted academic competition and we are looking to fill this year’s team. Cégep Applications Info Session January 18, 7:00 PM via Zoom: The deadline to apply to Cégep is March 1. Parents (and students) are invited to an evening Zoom session on January 18, to go over deadlines, cut-off averages, application strategies as well as any questions that you may have. A zoom link will be sent to all students and parents on the morning of January 18. Read more.
