Women in Toys Scholarship
GenHERation and Women in Toys, Licensing, and Entertainment (WIT) have partnered together to award a talented young woman a $2,500 scholarship in 2020.
The WIT Scholarship is funded by the WIT Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) corporation that proudly supports its commitment to education by granting scholarships to outstanding women currently pursuing degrees in preparation for careers in a wide array of industry-related fields.

The FBI’s It’s Not A Joke #ThinkBeforeYouPost campaign aims at ending hoax threats by educating our community youth regarding the consequences of making hoax threats against schools.

This event can be used as an enrichment activity. Seats are limited, please make sure to get your ticket. This is a student’s event. Priority will be given to students who have registered and secure a ticket for the event. If seats are still available we can offer it to parents who wishes to stay for the event. Please be on time. Give yourself 10-15 minutes before the event start time to check-in.

Run Houston
October 27th
20 volunteers needed to come out and pass out water and medals to runners at the Houston Striders Half Marathon and 10K finish line from 6:00 am to 11:30 am on Sunday, October 27. Meet at the finish line in Sam Houston Park just west of Bagby on Lamar.
You will be there with the Bel Inizio group so make sure you meet Justena (832-334-1459). (she will be wearing a Bel Inizio shirt) Park at Fonde Recreation Center, 110 Sabine.

Second mile food fair
Every Saturday 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Volunteers help sort and repackage up to 20,000 pounds of fruits and vegetables and distribute up to 200+ families in need that come to second Mile on that day you can sign up for two shifts of two hours or more at www.secondmile.org/volunteer. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
