From the Principal's desk
Be strong and take heart, all who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:25
Finally! Spring weather has arrived.
Today the school celebrated vocations and honored Fr. Medina for 40 years of his priesthood. What a beautiful Mass planned by our students and staff. Thank you, Fr. Medina, for the many ways you build up the kingdom of God right here in our community. Our school and community are blessed to have you here.
Congratulations to our students who participated in the Spelling Bee this week at St. Martins School. Perhaps you saw a photo in today’s News Tribune.
Six of our students qualified for finalists in a local art contest. Another six were students from Blair Oaks. What a great showing of talent for our little community. One of our students, Avery Doerhoff, won honorable mention for her art work. Thank you, Mrs. Gibbons, for encouraging our students in art and for going the extra mile of delivering art work.
On Monday, students from the Blair Oaks after school care program, visited our After School Program and sponsored a fun Easter egg hunt for our kindergarten and Early Childhood students. What a nice tradition this is: building community between our two schools.
Truly, we are blessed in this community to have supportive parents, committed teachers and a visible pastor; all working together to build up the kingdom of God right here in Wardsville. Thank you!
May you find the joy of the resurrected Jesus!
