Need to Know
Newsies Jr. ~ post-production notes: Last week, 60 Elementary School students successfully performed Disney's Newsies Jr. the Musical. Kudos to the talented cast and core crew members of Mr. Kennedy, Mme Blais, Ms. Kuhn, Ms. Fragneau, Ms. Maurovich, Mr. Becker and Ms. Funamoto for delivering a memorable performance.
McEntyre Creative Writing Competition: Congratulations to all who participated and especially Samuel Pehr (Grade 1 – 2nd place), TianTian Li (Grade 1 - HM), Crescent Sun (Grade 2 – 1st place), Elies Boukadoum (Grade 5 - 2nd place), Jackson Qiu (Grade 5 - HM), and Bowie Ellis (Grade 6 - HM). Westmount Library will hold a ceremony for all winners in early June.
Canadian Scholastic Achievement League: All of Grade 6 participated in the Scholastic Challenge 2023, with excellent results again this year. The Selwyn team made up of Matej Blasch, Jack Pinnow, Lucas Zhao and Liam Scully are the National School Team Bronze Medalists and was the top scoring school team in Quebec. Special recognition goes to Matej Blasch, who ranked 3rd in Canada! Congratulations to all the boys in Grade 6 for their effort.
No Breakfast Service: Please note that there will be no breakfast service available on May 26 and June 1. Last day of breakfast service will be June 9.
PVA Volunteer Appreciation Tea ~ Save the date! All Selwyn House parent volunteers are asked to join us on Tuesday, June 6 from 8:00 to 9:15 a.m. for a special celebration. Whether you volunteered an hour or 100 hours of your time, we are gathering under the tent in the Guzzo yard to thank you. Spring Gryphon Sale Tally: Thanks to your generous uniform donations and all those who joined us yesterday morning, we raised $4391 for the Nancy Pitfield Endowment fund at the Spring Gryphon Sale. Donations of gently used uniform articles are appreciated and accepted all year long (anytime, even in the summer!) and can be dropped off in the bins right inside the front door of the school. Thank you and see you at the September sale, date and time to follow!

Elementary School students should be dropped off as per the times and locations as indicated below. If a student absolutely must arrive at school before their designated time there will be supervision in the yard starting at 7:50am.
