Chicken Coop Completed
Ninth grader Colton Sink has been working on our chicken coop as his Boy Scout Eagle Project since June of 2017. Thanks to the assistance of schoolmates, friends and fellow scouts, it is now finished! In addition to clearing out a lot of greenery and trees, Colton participated in several fundraisers to make the money needed to build and complete our coop. He only has 4 merit badges to finish to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Way to go, Colton!

Elementary Students on Campus
To parents of elementary students,
Students in grades K-5 are supervised when they are in study groups and PALS. Any other time elementary students are on campus, they need to be supervised by a parent or family member. They should not be left on their own to go from one extracurricular activity to another. Please plan for your child's supervision, so they can enjoy all the wonderful activities and friendships that are available here on campus.

As Mt. Everest Academy offers students the “flexibility to pursue your passion,” our school has a wealth of students that are pursuing their passions while meeting their educational goals. The "Student Spotlight" is a way to share some of the exciting endeavors our students are involved in with the rest of our school, and a way for students to learn about other students with similar interests.
If you've got a student accomplishment or special activity that can be included in a Monday Message, please email it to Linda Ele, lele@sandi.net.

Message from an MEA student
I want to make a difference in protecting our schools and students and am asking for your help. I am helping to organize a Town Hall Meeting around the issue of gun violence. We are planning to request that our Rep. from the 52nd district, Scott Peters, hold a town hall to discuss gun violence.
The young activists of March for Our Lives are requesting that all districts hold a town hall meeting for gun laws. To make this happen we need as many people as possible to contact their district representative or candidate using this script.
"Hello my name is _____. I’m _____ years old and I live in the ____ District of San Diego. I support the youth movement against gun violence and am requesting that Representative _____ hold a Town Hall Meeting on April seventh discussing reform of gun laws. My phone number is _____. Please tell Rep. _____ to respond as soon as possible."
If your representative refuses or cannot make it, please call all candidates running for Congress in your District and use this same script.
Please stand up for the children and take action immediately! Thank you.
