Wednesday, June 22: Grade 11 Graduation Ceremony, 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Coristine Hall: Full uniform required for grads including school blazer, dress shirt, Grade 11 tie, dress pants, dress shoes. Reception from 7:00 - 7:30 PM under the tent in the Guzzo Family Yard.
Need To Know
June Exams: The June exam schedule is here. Students should read and follow these protocols for writing June exams. June exams start Monday, June 6. Exams are written in the Macaulay Gymnasium or in an accommodation room. Students should arrive to school by 8:45 a.m. for morning exams which begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. for afternoon exams, which begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. Students must be punctual. Students who are late will not be allowed to make up the lost time. Lunch is not served for students during exams. Students are dismissed after their exams and there are no regular classes during the exam period. Students should see Ms. Wong for permission to stay for lunch if staying for tutorials or getting extra help from teachers. Students must be dressed in their Selwyn House uniform or summer uniform. Nothing may be brought into the examination room other than the required material for the exam being written that day, a bottle of water, and a box of tissues. Pencil cases are not allowed. Pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, calculators must be brought in a clear plastic Ziploc-type bag.
Èducation Québec Online Services: Students in Grade 10 and 11 can access their Ministry transcript online using this link (or link in French) It is best if the student creates the account for himself as there can only be one account for each permanent code. (Each student's permanent code can be found on his report card. The student file number that is also required to create an account will be emailed to you from our Registrar's Office. For further assistance, contact Ms. Poulin.
Parent Volunteer Appreciation Coffee Hour: Wednesday, June 8 from 8:00 to 9:15 AM., Guzzo Family Playground (under the tent) All parents who have played a volunteer role, big or small, are encouraged to attend.

Grade 10 students win $5,000 for local charity: Grade 10 students Henry Feltham, Lawrie Feng, Max Fleurent, Marc Gélinas and Akwirente Leborgne won $5,000 for their chosen charity, The Depot, in the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) competition finals held at Selwyn House on May 25. Read more.
The Senior School rowing team earned a gold medal in its division at the “Défi du Canal de Lachine” regatta, an annual event held by the Aviron Lachine Club, the oldest rowing club in Canada. Led by Coach Colin Robertson, the eight rowers finished the 5 km route down the Lachine Canal on a hot day. Watch highlights of the regatta:
24th Annual Old Boys & Friends’ Golf Tournament: The 2022 SHS Golf Committee wishes to thank all who participated in the 24th Annual Old Boys & Friends’ Golf Tournament at Kanawaki Golf Course raising over $60,000 for the Old Boys’ Endowment Fund, the Rob Wearing Bursary Fund and the Old Boy’s Speaker Series. Student Leadership & Experiential Education
House Dress Day: On Friday, June 3, Senior School students are invited to wear their House t-shirts with SHS athletics pants. If they have lost their House t-shirt, they may wear any SHS shirt instead.
Grade 11 Class BBQ & Water Fight: On Friday, June 3, as has been done in the past, the Grade 11s are organizing a water fight for their last day of school. The students will have a water fight on the City Hall lawn and then will have a class BBQ in the East Yard. Students should bring a change of clothes and a towel. They are also responsible for supplying their own water guns; no water balloons allowed! The water fight is happening rain or shine!
Juvenile Rugby finals: On Friday, June 3, we invite everyone to come watch the Juvenile Rugby team in their championship game. Kick-off is at 2:00 pm at Rutherford Field (McGill). The entire Senior School will be bused to the game, and there will be buses back to the school for Senior Students at 2:45 pm and 3:15 pm.
Duke of Edinburgh: This week, 20 students received their Duke of Edinburgh bronze and silver awards at the Senior School assembly. Click here for the list of award recipients. Congratulations to all of our award recipients! If your son is interested in registering for Duke of Ed, please contact Ms. Segal for more information.
Duke of Edinburgh Ceremony: On Saturday, May 27, Grade 11 students Vito Guzzo, James Sabbagh and Simon Yao attended the provincial Duke of Edinburgh ceremony for the Silver Award. They were presented their certificates from the Honourable Lieutenant Governor J. Michel Doyon, along with 30 others from across the province. This was the first in-person ceremony in over two years! We are very proud of all our students who accomplish the silver level of this program.

2022-23 Educational Services Contract: Each year, parents/guardians complete an Educational Services Contract which is legally required by the Quebec Ministry of Education. This contract confirms your son’s enrollment in the school, allows you to verify the information we have on file, and lets you choose your payment method for the 2022-2023 academic year. The online contract is accessible through OnCampus and must be completed by Friday, June 3, 2022. We ask that BOTH parents/guardians login separately to complete it.
The Emergency Contact Form and Medical Update forms for 2022-23 are also now available in OnCampus and only require one parent/guardian to review and submit. Please email Ms. Kelli Poulin (poulink@selwyn.ca) if you have any questions.
