New Kindergarten Jumpstart 19-20
We will have two Dubin Kindergarten Jumpstart days on May 9th and May 16th.
These days are designed for NEW kindergarten students for next year.
On each of the two days, students will spend time on a short bus ride around the neighborhood near Dublin from 9:30-10:00 AM. They will also spend from 10:00-11:30 AM working with our kindergarten teachers. Teachers will get to know the students better and assess some of their skills.
An email has gone out to all parents that attended Kindergarten Orientation with full details.
The sign up for these days is available HERE.
If you will have a new kindergarten student at Dublin next year, please sign up for one of these Jumpstart days. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Fourth and Fifth Grade Music Concert
The 4th and 5th Grade classes will be presenting the musical program, “Possibilities,” on Monday evening, May 6th, in the auditorium of Northern High School at 6:30.
The doors to the auditorium will open at 6:10 and there is no charge for this event. The students have been working hard on their music and are looking forward to presenting what they have learned.
“Possibilities” is a very positive and uplifting program that focuses on the one thing our students all have in common no matter who they are or where they come from, and that one thing is possibilities. Their lives will be filled with challenges and exciting journeys.
We are looking forward to an enjoyable time with our 4th and 5th grade students as they present “Possibilities.”

As done over the last 14 years, The WL Community Education Department is offering an exciting Summer Adventures program for children who love to have fun outdoors (and indoors) throughout the summer.
The Summer Adventures daily camp program is terrific for children who are between the ages of 5.5 and 12 years of age and are interested in having a great time and meeting new friends.

Hungry Howie's Pizza Fundraiser Days

Some things to remember when ordering pizza at Hungry Howie's.
- You can order ANY TIME that day.
- Dublin will receive 20% from your orders.
- The person ordering needs to mention Dublin (on the phone, at the counter, or in a comment with their online order).
Like last year it is the location at 3183 Union Lake Road.
2019-2020 District Calendar
Please click here: 2019-20 calendar to view next year’s school calendar.
Please Note:
- We will start the school year prior to Labor Day again.
- Late starts (middle school) and early release (high schools) have been eliminated.
- There are several half-days throughout the school year.
- As we have in the past, we will offer a reduced rate for Prime Time Care service on each of these half days.
You might be wondering...Why are there so many half days?
Throughout the school year, there are eight half days that will be used for staff professional development. We recognize that half days can be inconvenient for families.
Research has shown that when teachers receive ongoing, job-embedded professional development, they can increase student achievement by as much as 21 percentile points (Source).
As a school and district, we are committed to continuous improvement and these eight half days are an essential part of that commitment. Although they may seem inconvenient, staff development opportunities are crucial to ensure we provide an exemplary education for our children.
REMIND 101
In an effort to have great communication from school to home, we also offer Remind 101 to all Dublin parents.
How does it work?
If you would like to receive a quick text message on your cell phone or device, just sign up with us and you receive a quick text to remind you of important school events, deadlines, time frames, etc. at Dublin.
You can unsubscribe at any time, and we promise not to over use this communication tool either!
PLEASE SEE THE DIRECTIONS BELOW TO SIGN UP NOW!
If you signed up last year, you will need to sign up again.
