Special Frozen Event
Royal Party with Elsa and Anna!
Saturday, January 11, 11 a.m., Glocester Manton Library
Frozen fans of all ages, you are invited to the Glocester Manton Library to meet Elsa and Anna, who will tell stories, sing songs, and take pictures with you! You will also have the chance to make your own frozen silly putty! Royal treats and drinks will be available.

2020 February Calendar Raffle
February 1 through February 29, during library hours, Glocester Manton Library
Take 29 chances on one raffle ticket! It is Leap Year! During the month of February, we will be drawing for cash each day of the month. Tickets are $10 each or three tickets for $25 and are now available for purchase. Cash prizes total $1,100. It is a great way to support the library!
Winter Storytime Programs
Online Winter Story Time Registration begins Monday, January 6 at 10 a.m. for Glocester residents and Tuesday, January 7, at 10 a.m. for non-residents.
Baby Story Time (Ages: infant to 2 years) with Miss Kat
Thursdays at 10 a.m., Harmony Library
Join us for reading, singing, bouncing, playing, and fun! This program is designed to be a weekly program for babies and caregivers to attend together. Begins January 23.
Toddler Time (ages 2 - 3 ½) with Miss Annie
Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. (HL) and Fridays at 10:30 a.m., Glocester Manton Library
Join us for stories, songs, finger plays, flannel activities, and social play to ready your toddler for preschool and beyond. Begins January 21 at the Harmony Library and January 24 at the Glocester Manton Library.
Preschool and Kindergarten (3½ – 5) with Miss Kat
Wednesdays at 11 a.m., Glocester Manton Library and Thursdays at 11 a.m., Harmony Library
The preschool programs are designed to help your child develop skills that are fundamental building blocks for school readiness. Children will read stories, engage in movement/music activities, and do a craft. Children are encouraged to participate independently while caregivers remain in the library. Begins January 22 at Glocester Manton and January 23 at Harmony.

Create a beautiful and fun masterpiece using oil pastels, watercolors, and sugar!
Color Science Preschool Storytime
Thursday, January 16, 11 a.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: Ages 3 -6
Learn about the science of color with Miss Kat! Winter doesn’t have much color, but we will! We’ll read a story, talk about all the colors, and then do some experiments (with Skittles). You will also take home color sheets and instructions on how to make your own colorful slime.

DIY Compliment Rocks

Age Level: Ages 10 and up
Celebrate National Compliment Day with us at the Glocester Manton Library. We will be painting compliment rocks, that you can choose to keep, share with the library, or share with friends! Learn the power of kindness with this fun craft.
Wrapped Friendship Necklaces
Monday, January 27, 4:30 p.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: Grades 4-12
This jewelry-making workshop will have you use your creativity to make wrapped necklaces. We will be using cotton rope and embroidery floss.
Adult Programs
Mac’ and Beads!
Monday, January 6, 2 p.m., Glocester Manton Library
Learn fundamental knots of macramé for making bracelets, and jazz it up by adding beads or charms. You will love to wear them or give them to friends and family. All supplies are provided.
Cookbook Club
Monday, January 6, 6 p.m., Harmony Library
Our cookbook for January is A New Way to Dinner: A Playbook of Recipes and Strategies for the Week Ahead by Amanda Hesser. If you would like to join the Cookbook Club, register online at glocesterlibraries.org and then drop by the Harmony Library to pick up a copy of the book.
Tuesday Movie Matinee

Tuesday Matinees offer new feature films on the big screen. Visit glocesterlibraries.org for a list of the feature films. Light refreshments and popcorn are served. Bring a friend!

Fearless Art Club
Wednesday, January 8 and January 22, 2 p.m., Glocester Manton Library
This art club is guided by the likes and interests of its members. In the past, we have enjoyed graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, and watercolor. In January, we will explore acrylic paint, color matching, and end with a still life painting. All supplies are provided.
Birds’ Nests Pendants
Tuesday, January 14, 6 p.m. and Wednesday, January 15, at 11 a.m., Harmony Library
Adults and teens (14+) will learn how to fashion wire and beads into the shape of a bird’s nest. Participants can use their pendant as a necklace or earrings. Registration opens online on Saturday, December 28, at 10 a.m. Please sign up for only one session.
Writers' Support Group

Jump start your New Year's resolution to write a book by joining the Writers’ Support Group! Read and share your personal writing projects at this monthly meeting. This adult group is open to writers in all genres. Registration is not necessary.

Sarah Gagne from Le Chat Noir Tarot will visit to talk about the fascinating history of the tarot. She will also speak about the best ways to take care of your cards and will share some of her experiences getting started in the tarot reading business. At the end of the presentation, there will be a short reading done for anyone who is interested.
