Covid-19 Government Directives and SHS: The Senior Admin team will be meeting next week to finalize the protocols for this school year. More information to follow in the coming updates.
PVA News from Karen Anderson: Hey there Selwyn Parents! We hope you're enjoying your summer so far, but that you and your son(s) are excited for the return to Selwyn too. We can't wait to see you and meet all the new parents! If you're new to the school, please take a look at the Selwyn PVA page on the school website (Selwyn PVA) to learn what we're all about and if you're interested in helping in any way, who to contact. Don't be shy! If you have any questions or great ideas about how we can connect or how you'd like to be involved in the school, please reach out! If Covid has taught us anything, it's that we have to be flexible. So, normally we'd be excited to meet and greet everyone on the first day back with a fun coffee in person in the school yard. We'll have to wait and see how things are shaping up with the details for the return, so stay tuned! When we know for sure what the first few days will look like and if we are allowed to gather, we'll send you a note. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy and let's be positive that we're headed for a fantastic year together. Cheers, Karen Anderson, parent of Matthew Anderson (grade 11), PVA Chair karen.anne.anderson@gmail.com
Don’t forget supply and reading lists: The 2021-22 reading and school supply lists are available on our website. Should you misplace your copy, the lists will remain posted on our website.
Epipen Protocol: If your child has a prescribed Epipen, he should carry it on him at all times. This would be in addition to the Epipen that must be kept in the Front Office. Please ensure that the Front Office has your son’s Epipen on the first day of school. If your son had an epipen in the last year, please confirm with Kim Auclair that it has not expired.
Important Reminder: If you have moved during the summer or if you have a new telephone number or email address, please email the changes to Poulin (poulink@selwyn.ca) by August 23rd. The information gathered by this date will be used to create the Student Directory. It is extremely important that this information is accurate. It is your responsibility to email the school any changes to your contact information, now and throughout the school year.
Argyle Shop News: We strongly encourage parents to shop on our online store. If required, Argyle Shop appointments can be booked for dates in August and September using the link on the Argyle Shop webpage. Orders can be picked up at the Front Office as of Thursday, August 26 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Exchanges, if necessary, can be done on Friday, August 27 between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Email Irina should you have any questions.
