Upcoming Home and School Association Meeting
Our next Home and School meeting will be May 24th at 6:30 pm in the Gwynedd Square cafeteria. Free babysitting will be provided by a few of our 6th-grade students.
At this meeting, we will present the home and school budget for the next school year as well as any changes to the bylaws. Nominations for vacant board positions will be taken and voted in for the 2023/24 school year during the meeting. If you have questions about vacant positions or are interested in how the association works, email us at gsfamilies1@gmail.com
All association members are encouraged to attend and cast their votes! It's free to attend, but only association members may vote.
Summer Enrichment
To promote continuous learning over the summer, NPSD will be offering a summer enrichment opportunity for all elementary students who have completed grades K-6 in the 2022-2023 school year. This free virtual program is designed to be completed asynchronously, with the engagement of families. Our goal is to provide independent, engaging activities throughout the summer that are the perfect blend of academics and fun in order to best support continued growth for our students.
The program will offer four weeks of content starting on Monday July 3rd. New content will be posted every Monday. Registration will be required, and a link will be posted for families by May 15th to register their child. All information will also be posted to the NPSD website, and promoted through social media outlets. While the registration link is not open yet, we want you to be able to promote it while sharing summer ideas and talking to your families. Please remember, this is different from SPARK, which is our in-person summer remediation program, and students must be invited to participate in that program.
More information about the program can be found here.
Once the program begins, students will have access to four weeks of themed choice menus with activities that are aligned to grade level standards in ELA and Math, and will also incorporate movement, creativity, and more! Students will also have the opportunity to work through their personalized learning pathway on iReady for math and Freckle for ELA.
