National Student Walk Out at MEA
On Wednesday, March 14, at 10:00am, several of our Mt. Everest Academy students chose to participate in the 17-minute school walk out that was happening around the nation. Students gathered together peacefully and respectfully, some of them carrying signs. Two students gave passionate speeches about why more gun control is needed and what we can each do to spread love, not hate. Next, Christina S. played guitar and sang an inspirational peace song. The event ended in silence, during which a student rang a golden bell 17 times, in remembrance of each of the 17 shooting victims.
