Elementary School Play News: The elementary school play, The Thirty Three Little Pigs, will be performed for the students on Friday, May 14, 2021. The play will be performed in the Guzzo playground in a separate performance for each cycle. Audience and actors will be masked and each class bubble will be socially distanced. In the event of rain performances will be moved to Monday, May 17. A film version of the play was also created and will be premiering on YouTube on Friday, May 21 at 7 pm. A link to the film premiere will be included in next week’s update.
Finale régionale d'Expo-sciences 2021: Le 4 mai 2021 s'est déroulée la finale régionale de Montréal d'Expo-Sciences Hydro-Québec et cinq élèves de notre école primaire ont été récompensés pour leurs projets. Grayson Steele (5e année) a gagné la médaille d'argent dans la catégorie Juvénile 3 pour son projet «Does Standing in a Power-Pose Improve Mental Health?» et il a également gagné le prix Musée Armand Frappier. Mateo Novak (6e année) a gagné la médaille de bronze dans la catégorie Juvénile 3 pour son projet «Les éoliennes» et il a également gagné le prix de la Société canadienne de météorologie et d’océanographie. Olivier Morin et Spencer Roiter (6e année) ont gagné le prix Spéléo Québec pour leur projet « L’odeur, ça goute bon! ». Kai Mendell (2e année) a gagné la médaille d'or dans la catégorie Juvénile 1 pour son projet «LEGO Sorter» et il a également gagné le prix Voiles en Voiles. Notons également la présence de Jonathan Nadler, Laurent Mayer, Rafi Qu, Matthieu Rémillard, Vincent Baillargeon et Maxim Arbour qui ont également fait très bonne figure. Félicitations à tous les participants!
Canadian Scholastic Achievement League: All of Grade 6 participated in the Scholastic Challenge 2021, with excellent results again this year. 27 boys scored at or above the national average of 51 points, earning them a Certificate of Merit. The Selwyn team also placed 3rd in all of Canada, thanks to Max Arbour, Justin Mancer, Jonathan Nadler, and Spencer Roiter. Special recognition goes to Max Arbour: with a score of 79 points, he is this year's Provincial Champion! Congratulations to all the boys in Grade 6 for their effort.

Gryphon Sale News: The next Gryphon Sale will take place on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Rossy Agora.Donations can currently be dropped off anytime in the bins located just inside the front doors of the school and are always very much appreciated.
