Happy Friday
Dear School Families,
Happy Valentine’s Day!!! The best part of working in a school setting is the amount of love that is shared each and every day!!! It is hard to find a happier place!
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to all of the parents that invested time, money and resources to make the Valentine’s Day parties so delightful!
The School Advisory Board met last night and it was determined, in conjunction with the Diocesan School Office and Father Medina that St. Stanislaus will not need to make up any snow days at this point. This includes Holy Thursday! We will NOT be in session on Holy Thursday as stated in the Star a few weeks ago. The School Office has granted permission to use hours versus days for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year with the understanding that the number of hours set forth are met. We will exceed the required hours.
As for next year 2020-2021, the School Board has approved the following dates:
- School will begin at 7:40 a.m.
- School will end at 3 p.m.
- School will begin on Thursday, August 20th of 2020.
- School will release for the year on Friday, May 21st, 2021.
- Christmas Break will be from noon on Dec. 18th and will resume on Monday, January 4th. ( break will be Dec. 21-Jan. 1st. )
*The Diocesan School Board did approve that schools may count hours versus days for next year. Within the hour requirements, we have to include hours for inclement weather and professional development days which is why we are starting 10 minutes earlier and ending 5 minutes later. Buss service will not be affected. We will get more information out on morning drop off times.
*At this time we are not able to put out the full and complete schedule. We are waiting on the Diocesan School Office to add one more date for professional development. As soon as we receive that date, we will get the finalized 2020-2021 calendar out to all families.
A couple of important dates:
*Coach Jim Marshall will be at St. Stanislaus gym on Wednesday, February 19th @ 6:30 p.m.
*Students in grades 6-8 will view the movie, Screenagers on Thursday, February 20th at school. We will have the opportunity to show the movie that evening at 6:00 p.m. in room 102 for those parents that are interested. Please watch for a parent guide to come home. The movie is 68 minutes long. I wish we could have staggered Coach Marshall and the movie, however, the movie is being viewed by 3 other schools to make the viewing fee affordable to each school.
*NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17TH, PRESIDENT’S DAY!
Re-Registration forms are being sent home with the oldest child. Please be sure to turn your forms in by March 2nd (with the $100 deposit) and please, tell your friends about our wonderful school! We would love to show others this school with heart!
Blessings,
Mrs. Angie Shelangoski

Wardsville Softball & Baseball Information
Technology Dinner & Auction April 18th, 2020.
Every three years, St. Stanislaus holds an auction to raise money to meet the ongoing technology needs for our children and teachers. In order to make this event as successful as we can for our children and the school, your help is needed. The upcoming auction will be held the evening of April 18, 2018, with a baseball theme and will be a time to eat, drink and be charitable for technology.
Please send an e-mail to loadbases4tech2020@yahoo.com if you are interested in helping or have any questions.
