Update from Mrs. Weber
Students continue to work hard on academics and behaviors. The teamwork stars are piling up! See the list below of students who have been recognized so far this month-keep it up!
In case of inclement weather, it will be announced on the Shelton Public Schools website, I will tweet it and you can see the announcement on various TV stations. As a parent, I signed up for text alerts from NBC and usually receive those first.
If we have a delayed opening, school doors open at 10:45 and the school day begins at 11:00. Expect the bus to show up 2 hours later than on a regular day. There is no breakfast available on late start days.
Every day that school is closed for weather adds an additional day to the end of the school year. After 10 snow days, additional days are taken from April vacation week. Please plan accordingly
The schedule for next week Monday is a full day, Tuesday and Wednesday are early dismissal days and Thursday and Friday are closed days.
Updated breakfast/lunch information-
Lunch and breakfast are available each day for all students at NO COST until the end of December. Students must pay for breakfast/lunch purchases beginning on January 2 unless qualified for free/reduced lunch. Be sure you have fill out the application
I have included what the Teamwork goals are that all staff are looking to hand out the stars for this month below. Use these "look-fors" to talk with your child
Thank you for the food donations-we have lots of boxes to send to the shelter. Your generosity is much appreciated!
Students will be going outside for recess each day unless it is raining. Please be sure to dress your child for the weather-the playground is quite windy. Please be sure you have your child's name in their clothes-we have so many in our lost and found without a name.
Please remember at morning drop off that if Mr. Ralph or myself are in the crosswalk ALL cars must stop. There have been some near misses this week. Also the buses have the right of way when turning at all times.
Please scroll all the way down for important information and flyers
There will be no newsletter next week. I am so thankful for all of you-I appreciate you sharing your children with us. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, safe travels to those who are going out of state and see you on the 28th!
Have a great weekend-Mrs. Weber

TItlewish-Birthday Books Information
Please support the Elizabeth Shelton School library!
We are now running our first Titlewish book program of the year from now through November 30th, and 100% of the money we raise will go directly to purchasing new books for our school library.
Thank you for helping us provide Elizabeth Shelton School students with the best education possible! It is a great way to honor your child for their birthday or any special occasion or just because you want to help! Your child will have their name placed in a new book in honor of your donation.
We’re asking you to participate and help us meet our first goal of $1,000. To help us meet our goal, please visit our ESS website and click on library and then choose the Titlewish link. The direct link is: https://www.titlewish.com/1094731
You can simply donate a dollar amount, or if you want to help buy a specific book off or our wishlist email me at kbush@sheltonpublicschools.org with the title of the book you have funded through our Titlewish program.Click here to see the books we currently would like to purchase for our school library collection. http://elizabethshelton.sheltonpublicschools.org/titlewish

Breakfast/Lunch Information
Updated breakfast/lunch information-
Lunch and breakfast are available each day for all students at NO COST until the end of December. Students must pay for breakfast/lunch purchases on January 2 unless qualified for free/reduced lunch. Be sure you have fill out the application
Parents/Guardians should fill out the application attached below for Free/Reduced lunch, even though you think you may not qualify. When the funds run out and if you have not already filled out a form, you will be expected to pay full price for each breakfast and lunch your child receives.
A menu will be sent home electronically at the beginning of each month with food choices (subject to availability). Students may also bring lunch from home. We do not have room in the cafeteria for visitors to eat lunch with students.
We are a nut free school-any foods containing nut products may not be brought in. Only food served by the cafeteria or lunch boxes from home will be permitted. Please check all ingredients and treats, especially if you are sending your child in with a boxed lunch such as "Lunchable". Many times the candy in those items contain nuts.
