Celebrating our Titans Volleyball Teams
It was great to have another home game this past Thursday and one in which we Admin had a chance to finally see how the Titans teams are coming along in their development. Congrats to the Seniors teams for both winning their matches. Our Junior teams have many players that are only in Grade 6 and they had to play against older players with the Redwater JH juniors.
We are very proud of the skills and great sportsmanship that are developing in our players. One of the coaches shared the way the older players encouraged the younger ones with a high five and then later in the match the younger one shared the encouragement for the older teammate. It is also great to have so many staff members and their families take part in the role of coaching and developing these skills. We are PROUD of the time and commitment you are making to the Titans athletics program. Included throughout this issue of the newsletter has some photos of Thursday's games along with the fans that were cheering them on.
There is one FINAL game to check out the Titans teams play on November 3rd if you want to catch a game.
Have a great week!

Using Fear to Fuel Your Dreams
Halloween can be a spooky time! Whether it’s ghosts, zombies, or the fear of failure, there is no wrong “thing” of which to be afraid. What is important though, is that we recognize how hurtful OR helpful fear can be in reaching our goals. Fear can feel like a brick wall, stopping us from moving forward. Fear can also be the hammer that helps us break that brick wall down! Our fears can help us achieve our dreams!

Catholic Education Sunday and Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools
Every November, typically on the first weekend of the month, we celebrate Catholic Education Sunday in Alberta.
We recognize Catholic education as a gift – a gift that we treasure and protect. On Catholic Education Sunday, we acknowledge the value and blessing of our Catholic schools and give thanks for the faith-based education they offer. Here in Alberta, unlike some other provinces, we are especially blessed to have a publicly-funded Catholic education, which benefits us in many ways, including:
Our children and school staff have the opportunity to learn more about the Catholic faith and the Church that Christ instituted.
We enjoy the freedom and the benefit of prayer. In liturgical celebrations at school and in the church, our students and staff express and celebrate their faith.
In every subject and in all aspects of school life, we freely apply and connect our faith. Faith is integrated or permeated in all we do whether it be through science, Language Arts, sports teams or Christmas concerts. Our faith connects us all and is a part of all relationships between students, staff and families.
Finally, in Catholic schools, we have the opportunity to inform our young people about the faith and to help form them in the moral or Christian life.
Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools is honoured, and proud to serve the students and families of Legal, Morinville, St. Albert and Namao in providing a welcoming, Christ-centered learning community.
