Need to Know
Parent-Student-Teacher Interviews continue tonight until 8 p.m. and tomorrow from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m via Zoom. If you were unable to arrange Parent-Student-Teacher interviews for whatever reason, you may contact the teachers you would like to meet with and arrange a Zoom meeting or telephone call at a later date. All Zoom meeting passwords are set as 123456. Students are expected to attend the Zoom interviews with their parents. For any issues with your bookings or Zoom links, please contact Ms. Poulin.
Term 2 Reports were emailed to parents. Please contact Ms. Poulin if you did not receive your son's report.
Selwyn House meets "John's House" / Grade 10 community service initiative: On February 10, Nazareth House representatives came to speak to the students about "John's House" residents aged 25-35. Read more.

Gryphon Sale Donations Needed: As spring approaches and you want to make room in your closets, please drop off any gently used uniform items in the bins right at the front of the school. Receiving the donations well in advance of the sale is very helpful and much appreciated. Save the date, the next Gryphon Sale is on May 17 from 7:00 - 11:00 AM in the Rossy Agora.
Known & Loved Gala: Join us on April 27, 2023 for the Known & Loved Gala at Maison Principale. There are only 89 tickets remaining! If you cannot join us, please consider becoming a donor/sponsor and help us reach our goal of $200K to endow the Hannaford/Doherty Mental Health and Wellness Fund. This fund will provide annual training and certification by Mental Health First Aid Canada to Selwyn House School teachers and staff.
Student Leadership & Experiential Education
Senior School Student Leadership Election Process: Senior School students received information about the application process for Prefect and House Head leadership positions for the 2023-24 school year both in assembly and by email on Wednesday, March 1st. Applications are due by email to Ms. Torry by March 29 at 3:00 PM..
Grade 10 Retreat Information: Grade 10 Parents and Students were emailed an information letter and consent form about the Grade 10 Retreat. Please note that consent forms are due by March 24.
Chess Tournament: Students who signed up for the House Chess Tournament should keep an eye on their emails for the rules and first round of matches. Information will be sent out on March 20!

Bursary Opportunity for Graduates: If you are a graduating student and meet the criteria listed below, you may be eligible to apply for a bursary of $150 through the office of Jennifer Maccarone, the MNA for Westmount-Saint Louis. Please follow this link to learn more about how to apply.
Criteria:
Reside in the riding of Westmount—Saint-Louis
Be registered full-time for the 2023 Winter semester at the Secondary 5, Cegep or undergraduate university level at an educational institution located in Québec;
Be a permanent resident or Canadian citizen (Health Insurance Card or Québec Driver's License).
