STUDENT FAMILY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
We are so excited to share with you that the Oconomowoc Area School District has partnered with Aurora Healthcare to offer free counseling services to all students and families. This program, the Student Family Assistance Program (SFAP), offers professional counselors to help students and families address a wide range of issues that impact health and academic performance. Under this partnership, every family in the Oconomowoc Area School District is eligible for six one-hour confidential counseling sessions per topic of concern for no cost.
Our teachers and student services team are always trying to support the emotional development of our students. However, often times our team can only scratch the surface when working with individual students. This program may be the perfect opportunity for you and your child to seek additional and comprehensive support to cope with a variety of challenges including: behavior and mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression or stress. You may also reach out to SFAP for support in dealing with grief or other family crises.
We are one of a few school districts in the area to offer a partnership like this. We are proud to work for a district that values and emphasizes the importance of supporting our families. To seek additional information, please contact Mr. Stuckey, Ms. Jens (guidance counselor), Mrs. Altenberger (school psychologist) Ms. Ginsberg (school social worker), or the SFAP program directly at 1-800-236-3231.

OASD 4K-12 ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER SCHOOL
4K-12 Summer School Online Registration Opens March 5th
· For your convenience, OASD will offer online Summer School registration for Grades 4K –12. This will be the only venue through which families can register for Summer School.
· The registration window will open March 5, 2018, at 6:00 a.m. and remain open until March 16, 2018, at 12:00 noon.
· Grade level course brochures, step-by-step instructions for registration, and the payment process are posted on the OASD website, www.oasd.org (District > Summer School) after February 14.
· In order to register online you will need a Family Access login and password. If you do not currently have a Family Access account, please register online from our Family Access information page prior to summer school registration (your login and password will be emailed to you). If your student attends an OASD school, you will use your current Family Access information to complete the online registration. You do not need to request a new one. If you have questions or would like more information regarding Family Access, please contact FamilyAccess@OASD.org or call 262-560-2170.
· Any new-to-the district student or parochial/private school student must complete an OASD student application form prior to summer school registration every year (this is different from the Family Access account registration). The form is available on the Summer School website and should be completed and submitted directly online. Upon receiving the form, staff will enroll your student into the summer school entity; you will be notified to proceed with the registration process. See the Summer School website for more information.
· Questions regarding summer school or families who have no computer/internet access may contact us by emailing Summer@oasd.org or by calling 262-560-2115 during regular hours 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
· Summer school dates are June 18-July 27, 2018 (6 weeks). There will be no school on July 4, 2018. Locations for 2018:
Elementary, K4 – 3rd Grade at Greenland Elementary – 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Intermediate, 4th – 8th Grade at Nature Hill Intermediate – 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. High School, 9-12th Grade at OHS – 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
· NEW THIS YEAR: Payment is required at the time of registration with a credit or debit card through the Revtrak payment option in your Family Access account. Due to high Summer School demand, payment MUST be made the same day as registration to secure your student’s place within the course or your course will be dropped. This eliminates a “Waiting List”. Please check back after 9 am daily for class availability openings.
· NO transportation is provided for summer school, and NO SHUTTLE BUS service is provided between sites.
· The YMCA Summer School Club will be available. Families should contact the YMCA directly at www.ymcaatpabstfarms.org for an application or pick up an application at the YMCA. For more information, call 262-567-9622.
· If your student is on Free or Reduced lunch you may register online, but do not pay for the remedial or skills instruction classes, as those fees will be waived. You must still pay for any enrichment classes you register for regardless if your child is on Free or Reduced Lunch.
Summer School registration will NOT be accepted after March 16, 2018
