Calling all Kindergarteners!
The Northwest Public Schools will be holding Kindergarten Registration on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, for the 2018-2019 school year.
Registration at St. Libory will be from noon to 1:00 p.m. Students are welcome, but not required to accompany parents or guardians to registration. At 12:10 we will have a short informational meeting and Mrs. Bowen our school nurse will be available to answer any questions as well. If you can not attend during that time, please call the office and we will get the necessary information to you. You may also stop out any other time during this day as well.
According to state law, children must reach age 5 on or before July 31, 2018, to qualify for enrollment into kindergarten. Children who reach age 5 after July 31, 2018, will qualify for registration into preschool in April 2018.
Be sure to bring the following items:
- 1. A copy of your child's certified birth certificate.
- 2. Your child's complete immunization records.
- 3. A physical exam will need to be completed by a physician, physician's assistant or nurse practitioner before the first day of school.
- 4. A vision exam is required by State Law as of January 1, 2006, and must be completed within six months before starting school.
More information will be given to parents on requirements pertaining to physical examinations and additional vaccines at the time of registration. Mrs. Brooke Bowen our school nurse can be contacted with questions. (bbowen@ginorthwest.org) For your convenience, you may download and open a .pdf file of the enrollment packet found on our school webpage.
We will be holding an OPEN HOUSE for all Kindergarteners the day before school starts next August 2018. You and your kindergartener will be welcome to school on that date to check things out and meet their kindergarten teacher.
