Students: come use the Maker Space for your projects!
Hello Mt Everest Academy Families,
We here in the Maker Space have been thrilled to have students coming in to work on projects in our space! That is what we are here for!!! Have a project to do for a class? Come see us! We have supplies (extreme amounts of cardboard lately!) and accessories (tape, tissue paper, glue, pipe cleaners, etc…who doesn’t love pipe cleaners!!!?) to help you in making your project just as you envision it. Have a project coming up and need a certain supply? Just ask us!
We are open:
- Tuesdays 10:00-11:30, 12:30-2:30
- Wednesdays & Thursdays 10:30- 2:30
We are here to support you in creation! Any questions, just come by and ask!

Food Drive
The holidays are over and we return to our regular schedules. So many of us have given in so many ways over the holidays. Unfortunately, for those in San Diego who are food insecure - not knowing how or when they will get their next meal - hunger doesn't end. This is the time of year Food Banks have the lowest inventory after receiving many donations in December. According to the latest estimates, more than 467,000 San Diegans live in poverty. Could you please help them out? Nonperishable food would be so helpful to a family in need.
The Food Bank needs a variety of nonperishable goods, including canned tuna, canned chicken, canned fruit, peanut butter, beans and cereal. Most Needed Items include canned meats, peanut butter, canned fruit (in water or light syrup), canned vegetables, canned soup, cereal and oatmeal. All donations must be unopened. No home-made items or glass containers please.
We will be collecting food for the month of January. Please bring donations to the library - there will be a collection box there. Thank you so much!
