CELEBRATING GROWTH
This weekend our gospel reading shares the parable of the growing seed. When Jesus shares this parable he compares the kingdom of heaven to "a mustard seed that, when it is sown in the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on the earth. But once it is sown, it springs up and becomes the largest of plants and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the sky can dwell in its shade.”
How fitting that our faith shares with a story about growth on the same weekend we honor our SAB 2021 Graduates. This group of young people have most definitely shown persistence in spite of difficulties, made time to develop diverse skills, been offered gentle nurturing from loved ones and in turn have put themselves in service of others.
Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, extended family and proud supporters of our gradates who joined in the festivities on Saturday. We loved seeing your fancy vehicles, impressive decorations and proud smiles. Your support is what has fueled these students!
We wish all the members of our graduating class of 2021 much success in their future endeavors.

SAB STAFF FEATURE
Mr. Wisniewski, Biology, Health & Construction
Mr. Wisniewski is a true "jack of all trades" type of person. Over the last few years we have thrown him some pretty challenging projects related to our drama productions and he never flinches. He loves teaching construction and having grown up on the farm he is always working on a project. Did you know he has beehives at his acreage home and harvests some incredible honey each fall? He is also an avid gardener too. He and his wife have three young kids to keep them running around aged 4, 6 and 8.
You can reach him at ben.wisniewski@eics.ab.ca
Mrs. Stolk, Photography, Fashions, Religion and English
When Mrs. Stolk is not in our CTS wing of our school or upstairs teaching in a class she still stays very busy! You can reach her at: angelas@eics.ab.ca
Here are some fun facts about Mrs. Stolk:
She spends her time outside of school chasing after her two young daughters and the newest addition to their family...Cosmo the puppy! She loves Friday popcorn and movie night with the family, and is looking forward to another summer of camping and sitting on the deck in the sunshine… and maybe getting to visit with people again!
Next year she will finish her last two courses toward her Masters’ Degree in Secondary Education (in Curriculum) through the University of Alberta.
She loves all things creative and artistic, and loves being part of the SAB family...because as she says, "you guys are just so cool."
