Dozen Eggs Theory- By RKT
An analogy - that's no Yoke !!!
By: RKT
each student must have a certain amount of classes to be considered
a full-time equivalent for an FTE (Full Time Equivalency-this is the state funding)
For an entire year, the number of classes to be considered full time is 12 classes.
In a semester that is 6 classes per semester of 18 weeks / 2 times per year = 12 classes
In a trimester that is 4 classes per semester of 12 weeks / 3 times per year = 12 classes
The easiest way to make this applicable is...
THINK OF A DOZEN EGGS !!!!
Note: If a student has less than 12 classes per year (6 classes per semester, a reduction of state funding will indeed be adjusted)
Below please find this theme on the variation to bring home the concept.
