Genesee School District
Update from Dr. Strang ~ July 2, 2020
Happy Fourth of July!
I hope this update finds you well and able to enjoy the holiday weekend.
I wanted to briefly touch base to address the "Return to School Roadmap" that was released by the Governor this week. The Roadmap is aligned to the MI Safe Start Reopening Plan and its Phases, which is beneficial in having consistency. In addition, it calls for coordination with our county health department rather than a regional approach to returning to school, which also is beneficial.
Fortunately, we are a bit ahead of the game and have some tentative plans already in mind for the various phases to return thanks to the work of teachers and administrators.
My goal is to have our plan created and submitted to our school board for approval by the end of July. Once it is approved, you will be notified of all the details.
Prior to the end of the month, please be on the lookout for future communications and a survey to gather your input.
Below is a link to the Governor's Roadmap for you to review.
In the meantime, be sure to watch your mail for the most recent "Genesee ~ The Place to Be!" newsletter that should be arriving within the next week. It is a great showcase of our Top Ten Seniors.
Have a wonderful holiday and stay healthy Genesee!
