Animal Experiences

Age Levels: All Ages
Learn about, explore, and develop a deep appreciation for reptiles, amphibians, and other small animals without being afraid of them. A former pet storeowner, Dave Marchetti, incorporates the animals he uses in his Animal Experiences programs as inspiration for his children stories, which can be found on Amazon and other online booksellers.
Evening Book Discussion & Dinner

“Drop in” to Glocester Manton Library during February and make a lovely necklace using colored pasta and beads. No registration is required.

Valentine Day’s Craft for Toddlers
Monday, February 11, 10:30 a.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: 2-5 years with caregiver
Create a Valentine Suncatcher for someone special. Caregiver and children ages 2 to 5 years old will make the heart suncatcher with contact paper and tissue paper. This program is limited to 12 children accompanied by caregivers.

Our cookbook for this February is The Kitchen Shortcut Bible: More than 200 Recipes to make Real Food Real Fast by Bruce Weinstein. If you would like to join, register online and then drop by the Harmony Library to pick up a copy of the book.
Valentine Paper Quilling Workshop
Tuesday, February 5, 6 p.m., Harmony Library
Learn how to quill a Valentine-themed design with local artist Ann-Marie Lafrenaye. Quilling is the art of coiling paper strips to create sophisticated decorations. No special skills are necessary, and the library will provide all materials.
Tuesday Movie Matinee

Tuesday Matinees offer new feature films on the big screen. Registration is not necessary and the movies are free. Light refreshments are served. Bring a friend! The movies include:

Fearless Art Group

Each month, we explore different drawing challenges to spark our creativity and enhance our drawing skills. The topics of exploration are guided by the members. In January, we will explore the challenges of drawing winter landscapes. All levels of art experience are welcome. All materials will be provided.
Tea Tasting

Gina Fligg of Pamfilio’s Catering will give a presentation about the many health benefits of tea. Audience members will then have the opportunity to sample five or six different varieties.
Crochet Group

Beginners and crocheters who are more advanced can learn and share their experience in a comfortable room for crochet and conversation! Ashley Ledoux, an experienced crocheter, will teach beginners and be available for assistance and advice.
Sewing 101
Tuesday, February 19 and February 26, 6:30 p.m., Glocester Manton Library
Local seamstress, Cindy Chace, will offer basic sewing lessons that include, how to thread and run a machine, wind a bobbin, sewing a hem, and other basic repairs. All materials, including the machines, will be supplied. This class will take two lessons to complete.
Writers' Support Group
